11 October 2017

- RapidStart – a Veritable Swiss Army Knife
Kim Congleton, Presenter
Often thought of only during implementations and upgrades, RapidStart is a tool with many talents, and one that should be in your daily Dynamics NAV toolbox. We’ll walk through how to use this versatile tool, and demonstrate the many scenarios when you can call on RapidStart, including setting up new companies, updating master records, changing prices, and loading journal entries. We'll also cover troubleshooting and interpreting error messages, so you can do more on your own without having to call your partner.

-Women in the House!
Kim Congleton, Presenter
Want to listen to fellow women share what they learned over the years while advancing their roles in the workplace? Attend this enlightening panel discussion. You’ll not only hear the good and not-so-good steps they took in their careers, but you’ll have a chance to ask questions that can specifically help you TODAY.

12 October 2017

-WMS & MES in Food & Beverage: The Story of an Arranged Marriage
Jean-Martin Roux, Presenter
Distribution environments in all industries are increasingly diversifying their activities to include kitting or light manufacturing, a change which requires a shift in technology. With challenges like lot traceability, expiry dates and inventory accuracy, the decisions about which systems should handle which business logic and transactions can quickly become cumbersome. This session will walk through best practices around the functional connection between manufacturing execution systems (MES) and warehouse management systems (WMS) with a specific focus on food & beverage, though you’ll be able to apply insights regardless of your industry.

-Stump the Experts: Dynamics NAV Architecture and Development
Kim Congleton, Moderator
Our Stump the Experts sessions are a unique opportunity to hear insight directly from those who have "been there, done that," and solve the issue you've been struggling with. Stump the Experts is an open question and answer format - our panel is ready to field your questions - and if somehow they don't know the answer right away, they will enjoy the opportunity to do the research and get back to you!

13 October 2017

-The Best of NAVUG Summit 2017: RapidStart – a Veritable Swiss Army Knife
Kim Congleton, Presenter
An encore presentation!

-Change, Because I Said So
Kim Congleton, Presenter
It's said that the only person who likes change is a wet baby. Organizational change is always going to be difficult, because it involves the most complex element: humans. Before we can ever expect our team to get onboard with a new initiative, two factors must be open to change - the organizational environment and the people. We'll review common inhibitors to change for both of these factors, then dive into the underlying factors, such as a company's culture, performance measurement, and individuals' biases and work histories.
